Let’s get sweaty and serene at the Wellness Festival in Dublin

Holy Shiz balls – have you seen the line up at Wellfest in Dublin? Joe Wicks, Gypsyon and Hazel Wallace to name a few.

I’m really excited about it and can’t wait to get my butt on the stage to teach you guys my signature Vertue Method Bodyweight Blast – here’s a little description so you know what you’re in for:

Vertue Method Bodyweight Blast: is an intense 45-minute workout that includes a combination of dynamic yoga, bodyweight circuits and Glute activation exercises. Vigorous full-body movements combined with very short rest intervals will raise heart rates, improving cardiovascular fitness, coordination and mobility, while also torching a whole lot of calories in the process. There is a very specific focus on abdominal isolation and stability, working every layer of the core right up to the six-pack. Each class ends with a soothing meditation, designed to calm the nervous system, boost recovery and lower cortisol (the stress hormone). Those who take on this intense but fun workout will leave drenched in sweat, but also serene and totally uplifted in the soul (and the butt).

My class is on the main stage at 1pm on the 7th of May.

From the 7th to the 14th of August I have been invited to guest coach on the beautiful Island of Samui in Thailand (Koh Samui) with the incredible retreat facilitators New Horizon Escapes.

What I love about New Horizons (apart from the exotic locations) is their philosophy. To them a retreat is about embracing an active approach to fitness, rather than a regimented one. Like me, they are passionate about changing the mindset that so many have towards food and fitness, from restriction to nourishment, from punishment to pleasure.

On this retreat I will mostly be hanging out and training with all of you, but don’t think you’re getting out of the booty burn, as I will also be hosting some Vertue Method classes too.

Vertue Method Fitness & Yoga Retreat with Our Retreat

Join me and Our Retreat for a Fitness and Yoga retreat 18/8/2017-21/08/2017

Finally I can announce a retreat that I will be hosting in collaboration with the wonderful people at Our Retreat. What is really exciting about this retreat is that it is U.K. based, so for those of you that have been asking me to host a more local retreat (rather than o/s) HERE IT IS.

A typical daily schedule is going to look a little something like this:

Wake: Glass of Warm Water & the Daily Meds (meditation led by me), Dynamic Yoga Vinyasa focusing on digestive blood flow.

Breakfast: with protein of course

Training: The Vertue Method (HIIT, Weights, Yoga, Glute activation and Meditation)

Chill: Hangouts on the beautiful grounds.

Lunch: based on recipes from the Vertue Method book and 28 day plan.

Activity: Soul soothing nature hike.

Health Talks: I will host a seminar/discussion from topics that we collectively choose at the beginning of the retreat. Topics range anywhere from ‘Are Carbs the devil and will Bananas make you fat’ to ‘How to design your own workout regime.’ This is usually my favourite part of the retreat because I get to geek it out with all of you, discussing the science of health and wellness.

Dinner: variations of meals from the Vertue Method book. Don’t worry – there are definitely Carbohydrates!

Meditation: On every retreat I’ve ever hosted we always do a pre-sleep relaxation so that you literally sleep walk into bed.

Vertue Method Class with The Wellscene

What do we love to do with the lights off? A Vertue Method class in the dark (of course!)
Set in the (near) dark, with only black lights to illuminate the room, you can expect a spectactle for the eyes with UV face paint and glow sticks. To make things extra spectacular, we ask you to wear your brightest workout gear. Think neon and fluorescent colours – they look amazing under the black lights.
I will be teaching The Vertue Method: a fusion of yoga, gymnastics, circuit training and meditation, designed to uplift both your soul and your butt. It always begins with a signature warm up comprising of full body movements to mobilise joints as well as a sequence of glute activation exercises to prepare the correct muscles to fire. This is followed by a series of compound exercises in timed circuits; all carefully chosen to create a strong and lean body.
The session includes yoga sequences and ends with a soothing Savasana meditation to further stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, aiding in recovery.

New Balance Masterclass

New Balance X Vertue Method 

Join me on Tuesday mornings from 7.30am – 8.20am for a 50 minute Vertue Method session at the INCREDIBLE New Balance Flagship store in Oxford Circus, London.

The Vertue Method Classic workout is a fusion class, combining the best of yoga and gymnastics mobility drills, kettle bell circuits, glute activation and calming meditation. You will leave this session feeling both sweaty and serene, uplifted in the soul and butt.

There are change rooms and toilets too – so you won’t have to turn up to work, drenched in Vertueous sweat.
